Innerwear Innerwear helps prevent the transfer of body fluids which can harbor communicable diseases. Innerwear, when saturated or soiled, is intended to be handled only by the person who has used it, and it doesn't lay around soiled, where bacteria can grow and spread (such as in a wastebasket), to be collected later by someone else and discarded. Since the wearer rinses it, it is already free of bacteria before it is laundered.

Caring for Innerwear
Remove soiled Innerwear and rinse with cold tap water. Drop into Holding Jar (with or without net bag), then leave there to soak until you are ready to do a normal "white" wash. When ready to wash, place Innerwear in the mesh bag, secure top of bag and drop in washing machine with clothes. Innerwear can be handwashed if desired. Rinse well. Line dry or dry in clothes dryer at any temperature.
Cotton Innerwear will shrink and pucker when dried in the dryer, but shrinkage doesn't affect overall absorbency. When dry, press flat by hand or fold, stack and store in underwear drawer.
When soaking and complete washing is inconvenient, Innerwear can be hand rinsed and reinserted damp and again be effective for hours, even for collection of menstrual fluids. It is not necessary to use soap to wash in this situation. In fact, soaps or detergents should be avoided if adequate rinsing cannot be ensured.
